It was lovely to see the Cathedral full on Tuesday for the Carol Service. A big thank you to all those involved: (in alphabetical order…) cooks, musicians, pray-ers, readers, servers and speakers. An even bigger thank you to God, for sending Jesus. Without them, the celebration of the Carol Service would have made no sense Christmas Box project The collection for the Christmas Box project was S/.1469, which will be used to pay for:the printing of the evangelistic colouring booklet, transport to the differentchurches/groups (almost all in the Cuzco and Abancay areas), and (if enough) theprovision of chocolatada in these groups. Some of the groups are in remote highlandrural areas; warm clothing left over from Esther´s Closet is also being sent to these villages. If you would like to help sort the Christmas boxes which are now in the Cathedral, please see Penny Marcés. There will be a trip to Abancay to deliver some of theseboxes. This will be from 4th to 9th January. Please see Penny Marcés for details. On Friday (16th Dec) there will be a meeting for the “central Lima” area presented by the VCF team (Vida Cristiana y Formación – Christian Life and Formation) to share the findings of their 2-year survey of all the Anglican groups in the Diocese of Peru. They have already shared their findings in Southern Lima, Northern Lima, Arequipa and Huancayo, and this meeting on Friday will be for “Central Lima”, ie the congregations of the Cathedral and La Ascensión. It will be in Spanish but there will be translation. The significance of these findings for the Cathedral, and how we should act, will also be discussed. If you are interested in the development of ministry in the Cathedral, please make attending this meeting a priority The Christingle Service Which will be held next Sunday, 18th December, 4pm.
