We're getting together again this year to prepare our famous Christmas pudding and jars of mincemeat which we make by hand, from scratch to sell at our Christmas Bazaar.
Whether you're an expert or have absolutely no idea what mincemeat even is, don't worry we're here every step and there's a job for everyone. All we ask is that you can bring your own knife and cutting board to use.
Christmas Pudding preparations:
Thursday and Friday, September 27 and 28, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the kitchen.
Friday 5, starting at 11:00 in the kitchen.
EDIT: No longer meeting Thursday 4th, and Friday will start no earlier than 11am due to services in the Cathedral
Come along to as many times as you can make it to, can't wait to see you there

1: The visa procedure for the Rev’d Mark Ewbank is still in progress. Please pray that this process is completed satisfactorily.
2: The Social Work Committee made a presentation about the work carried out so far. In this sense, members are encouraged from both congregations to join in as volunteers at the Social Work Committee. Anyone interested may contact the Dean, the Rector, or the Social Work Committee members, namely, Jean Samaniego and/or Ellie Zúniga.
3: A Committee has been set up to revise the Cathedral Association's statutes. This committee is led by Steven Botts. A volunteer from each congregation is required to join the Committee. Anyone interested may talk to Steven Botts, the Rev'd Mark Ewbank, or the Cathedral Dean.
4: Our finances are in the red. The congregation is exhorted to a further stewardship in their offerings/ pledges.
Last week's book sale was a huge success. We managed to raise over s/.12,000 plus $140! Thank you so much to everyone who came to spend the day with us buying books, cakes and coffee.
These funds will go towards running costs of our Cathedral, which is currently running at a deficit, and we need to get our building ready for Civil inspection soon. A portion of the funds will also go towards our social work and some of the projects they have going on.
Finally, a huge thank you to all our volunteers, we couldn't have the sale without you baking, selling, putting books out and packing them away, as well as sharing our event on social media.
If you have any photos you'd like to share with us the tag us on facebook or instagram @goodshepherdlima
We'd love to see what you saw!
We look forward to seeing you all again next time, but before that we have our Christmas Bazaar on December 1st, we will have the books out again as well as so much more going on.
